get out of dodge

I has always dreamed of going places and now I helps others do the same.

I grew up in Eastman, Georgia—a small town with one stoplight (at the time) and the nostalgic charm of Stuckey’s. Surrounded by wide-open spaces and a strong sense of community, I developed a deep appreciation for home. But even as a child, I felt a magnetic pull toward the energy of distant cities and the richness of cultures beyond my own. It wasn’t about leaving something behind—it was about expanding the view.

That spirit of curiosity carried me from Eastman to Atlanta (146 miles north), then to New York City (894 miles, if you’re wondering), and eventually across the globe. My path has always been shaped by a love for grounded simplicity and a drive to discover the extraordinary.

Before founding The Travelers Well Wanders, I spent over 20 years in design and marketing, building a career recognized through awards and published work. I hold a Master’s in Communication Design from Pratt Institute. Along the way, I worked with global advertising agencies, led visual communications for an international airline, and served as a Creative Director at a destination management company (DMC). Those experiences taught me not just the art of travel—but the logistics and strategy behind it.

Today, I bring that same creative vision and thoughtful planning to every journey my team and I curate at TWW. I’ve explored more than 200 cities across over 15 countries—and I’m still traveling, always seeking new insights to better serve my clients.

I’ve called Atlanta, Nashville, New York City, Dallas, and now Memphis home—where I live with my husband, Bill, and stay close to family as “Aunt Bee,” while continuing to wander the world.

Read about the legacy of from the well to wander, how The Travelers Well Wanders began, and why we design journeys that feel as effortless as they are unforgettable.
